‌ttrying to display 65 fields on a page will look a mess so Sense displays the ones it can in the space youhave allowed for the table then gives the user the change to display another field from the remaining list.

The behaviour of the table box in QlikView is that it will allow you to see all the values of a number of fields (or at least all the distinct values) without having to add an expression (measure). The table visualisation in Qlik Sense works the same way, you don't have to have a measure, you can just add as many columns as you like and they can be all dimensions and will still display. This appears to me to be the same behaviour as a Table box. The major difference in presentation is due to the responsive smart design of the Qlik Sense object in that it only shows you as many columns as you can usefully see, but as Andy pointed out it also provides a control so that the user can pick which columns they want. Was there some other function of the table box you were missing or is it just the presentation aspect?

Hi Rod,

I agree with you but it will work in qlikview but not in qliksense.

Because in Qlikview we can add n number of fields as dimensions in straight table and we can see all the fields because we are having  scroll bar at bottom of qlikview sheets but in Qliksense Sheets there is no Scroll bar at bottom. so we can see only limited number of fields in table

Thank you,

Satya

Hi Satya,

I think many might prefer a scroll bar, I guess it was a design choice by the developers to use the column picker rather than a scroll bar, perhaps it made more sense on a greater range of device formats? I don't know. Do you have a use-case for preferring to have a scroll bar as opposed to the column picker presentation used currently? Either way I guess you can see any column(s) you want, it's a matter of how it is used.

Rod
