Opening QVW document method issue

Dear All,

Need help on document chaining concept in which we can call another QVW by clicking on first QVW file by using "Open Qlikview Document" Action.

When we go from QVW - A to QVW -B file then all the selection are passing correctly from A to B by using "Transfer State". But

If we come back from QVW -B to QVW - A, above functionality is not working as expected (because A is in cache, & when file A is in cache, selections are not getting passed properly.... It is just opening previous state that file was in).

So is there any way to pass the selection from B to A as well.

You can use ClearSate when you leaves any document

Can not use Clear State as need to pass selection from one to another qvw.

If we use clear then in that case no selection will be pass to another document.

Try like:

While going from qvw A to qvw B, try an additional action 'Close this document' and similalrly for B to A as well.

Hi Tresesco,

I already tried the same but it's not working @ Server as we are using AJAX mode.

You are probably right about that.  Here, to get rid of such potential bugging behavior, I would try another alternative (since you are using ajax) approach of passing parameter. Have a look here: URL Composer = compute an Access-Point link and pass selection values, open sheets etc.
