Need Input control in QlikSense...

Hi All,

I need to enter some values (string/numeric) into my QlikSense application.

It seems that Qlik Developers "forgot" to include this component (similar to InputBox on QlikView) to the latest release.

Any suggestions how to reproduce this functionality on Sense?

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Best regards,

Vladimir

I know that there are few extensions available on Q Branch:

1. Input Box which updates a Variable in Qlik Sense

2. Input variable

Any feedback/limitations on using them? Any other suggestions?

Hi Vlad,

I haven't used these extensions yet, I'm working with the following one:

qsVariable

qsVariable provides plain input box, select list, buttons options.

First you have to create a variable in load script, and that variable will be manipulated by this extension.

Hi Vald,

As Input Box which updates a Variable in Qlik Sense was developed by me, you can get back to me if you need any thing. I have been using this in my project but never faced an issue.

Hope the extension works,

HI Sangram.. Do you have a sample QVF file with input box.. that will be helpful for me ...

Do you have a extension installed? You will not be able to use a sample file without it.

And once you do, it's just dragging/dropping a control to the page, like any other QS control...

And as Vlad mentioned, make usre you have the extesnion downloaded from Qlikbranch and extract it to your extesnions folder before you view the qvf.

Thanks,

Sangram.
