filter to select 2 year values dynamically

Hi,

I'm trying to do something absolutely basic but I don't succeed.

I want to set a filter to the report in my 'Year' field to select current and previous year.

I tried this:

Capture.JPG

but it selects only the last row (2014) and not 2015.

your syntax looks correct and I use filters like this all of the time

what is the data in qlikview  when 2014 or 2015 for year is slected

Viktor,

Try applying a filter with that same syntax directly in the QVW and check the results.

If they're the same then there's some issue in the QVW.

If you get different results post here and we'll try something else.

Best

It's corrected itself ...

I don't know what happened but this does work as expected.

good to know but a little scary

on your connection, do you have the clear all selections checked?  If you do not, then the nprinting report will take into account selections within the QlikView applciation, possibly causing unexpect results in teh report

I don't and tbh I might have reordered my other filters and this one during the process. This could've caused this unexpected behavior as well.

if you always want your report to be based off of the nprinting parameters (filters, etc.) and do not want the report to take into account any selections that may be made in the applciation, you should have the clear all selections checked - this will allow nprinting to see the applciation as if no selections are made and then apply the nprinting filers
