nPrinting hangs randomly

Hi there,

I am just wondering if anyone has some idea about the below issue.

Our nPrinting scheduler has recently started freezing occasionally. Though the service is still alive, nPrinting scheduler stops working during the process/logging.

Note:

  • The nPrinitng service had a status of Running.
  • Scheduled subscriptions were not run and the monitoring tool displays they will be run on scheduled dates which are earlier than today.
  • There was a qv.exe process active on the server...

Thanks,

Yuji

During the problem investigation we found that the QlikView NPrinting service account was using a QlikView leased license and that lease had in fact run out halting the process. We determined this by checking the QlikView event logs (C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer) for the day NPrinting server stopped logging.

Hi ,

Check ,

The option of "close when finished" checkbox. If you uncheck it (say for debugging purposes), nprinting will never finish the document reload == Nprinting service will seem to be running, but will actually be stuck as no other tasks will be excecuted.
