How to open Qlik View Server (which is in client domain) from my desktop (which is in company domain)

Hi All,

I need to open a document on the qlik view server which is hosted on my client domain, using Qlik view personal edition installed on my desktop which is in a different domain.

Could you please advise if this is possible, if yes, how i need to proceed.

I tried opening using OPEN IN SERVER, by providing the SERVER machine name and Alternate Identity option and user id metioned like "Domain\Userid" and Password. But the connection is failing with the below message:

"Failed to reach server: server name; Switching to HTTP tunneling; connections to server OK, Nogotiations timed out."

I am already connected to the tunnel client. Please let me know your comments.

Thanks

Vishnu.

It may be easier if they share a folder with the files, with all security restrictions in place, but allowing you to connect to that shared folder and edit it since your workplace. Again, if you are using a RDP connection, you will probably need a domain account in the domain you are reaching, meaning the same credentials you use in the RDP. Is that correct?
