Lots of applications have created their own import routine to suck data in from MS Project using its API. Out the box there is no way to direct connect. Bit of programing required I think.
If you are using the web version and the data is public or you create your own html page of data you could use a web connection to scrape the data from a table. I've done that with data for demo on Wikipedia sites and that seems to work.
