Hello,

Is it possible to do a Binary Load of a document that has Section Access to another qv application?

Will the security settings from the first document be applied to second?

It is possible to do a Binary Load on a document that has Section Access. It will copy the complete data model and data, except for the Section Access table. The settings of the first document will not be applied to the second document.

To prevent a Binary Load from being possible on a document, you can set an option in...

Settings -> Document Properties -> Opening -> "Prohibit Binary Load".

Onno, has this been changed recently? AFAIK, section access is inherited when QVW is binary loaded.

If it also copies the Section Access table, I must have remembered it wrong.

I have to admit I did not test it. Will do later this week for the fun of it.
