NPrinting Server Benchmarking

Dear All,

We have developed an application and we have to generate 2000 odd reports and distribute those reports among the users. Currently its taking around 20 hours to complete the task. Here is the Server configuration-

Windows Edition: Windows server 2008 R2 server, Service Pack 1

Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5640@2.67 GHz 2.66 GHz (2 Processor)

RAM: 96 GB

System Type: 64 bit operating system.

As 2 parallel process is not possible to run in NPrinting, please suggest a best possible way to reduce the time.

Regards,

Rakesh Paul

You might want to check your processor-usage during the reporting. A huge chunk of the total Nprinting time is making selections in qlikview. This scales well with available cores.

Parallel processing is coming soon in v 17.  Technically, you can create parallel processing by using both an NPrinting Client and a Server to distribute your load.  If your QVW is static, create a copy of it and run part of your load on server and part on client.  You could further diversify if you have several clients.  Most of our testing is done on Client PC anyway, we only go to server when we are ready for production.

What do you think?
