Hi,
I recently did an installation of a nPrinting Designer client on a computer. The issue is when I try to connect through qvp to a server that works, but the moment I try to create a object list, fetch an object etc. every time it interacts with QlikView it asks for the password to be entered in the "open in server" dialog in QlikView. I am unsure if this is something that nPrinting is doing or is it something that is security based on the user / server side?
The user has a named CAL. When I connect nPrinting directly to the document it works fine, you enter the password once and you can navigate and fetch objects, filters etc. between the designer and QlikView document.
Any suggestions?
When you create your source connection in Nprinting, are you keying in your user name and password?
Hi Mike,
Thanks for responding. Yes I did try with that too and didn't work. If I don't remember wrong it timed out then. Bit clueless to be honest.
How is your security setup to get to the network drive? Do you have a drive mapped or are you using a network convention?
D:\server\nprinting.qvw or \\server\file.qvw
I tried both methods in my test and did not have trouble accessing either
Second option so it is done with the UNC mindset, which is how it is supposed to be?
I am wondering if it is on the server and that is doing something. I know that the computer isn't part of a domain and that it is set to Prohibit Anonymous and under Anonymous Account it is ticked for "On Local Computer".
No idea if that affects it though. I have installed this several times before and never had this issue. See attached screenshot.
