Date Input Field for selecting a time period - instead of selecting with calendar

Hello,

I hope someone can help me and answer my question. Me and my colleague have tested a lot and we have not found a solution.

We want to select a specific time period. Let´s say from 01.01.2010 to 17.08.2010. We used this calendar select box to select the date range. But this is a bit uncomfortable. Is there a possibility to create two input boxes where I can put in the date range ?

Maybe someone could give me a hint or an example. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Charles

I usually find that slider objects are best to select date ranges. Have you tried that?

HI.

See if you can help. You'd have to adjust slider objects.

Hi,

it´s working. Thank you.

I don´t know if I can translate it 1:1 to my qvw. I am using a pivot table to show all values for this specific time period including much more details and not a "sum of this period". I don´t know if I can exclude a complete pivot entry if it´s not within this time period.

I´ll try a bit and see if I can do the same in my qvw.

Many thanks for your help.

Sliders are at the moment not acceptable because the request was to use 2 input fields for selecting.
