License Lease not working for admin

I have installed qlikview 11 on a Win8 server.

On server and QV folders I have admin permission.

I have a named user CAL and can access QMC or schedule jobs.

Followed typical leasing from server but it does not take effect. Opening any doc asks for license.

Other people could lease license on the same machine so I suspect it is because I have admin rights on that machine?
Is there something on QV or OS side I need to change?

Thanks.

Hi,

Check this

How to lease a license from server to QlikView installed in laptop (Remote)?

I think I found a solution. When leasing the license on "test server" I change the name of server in the box to "prod server". This seems to be working.

If you are talking about a QV Test Server license (and not about a fully licensed server edition just acting as test stage), I believe it's by design that you can't lease Named CALs from that type of server, neither as normal user nor admin.

Are you saying the other users are able to lease a license from a Test Server?

Yes, you can't lease the license from Test server.
