Using Qlik Sense Desktop to deliver reports to end-customers?

My name is Tiago and my company is looking to use the power of Qlink Sense to provide some data-driven reports to our customers.

Right now, we've followed this steps:

     1. Building the app.

     2. Upload it to the cloud.

     3. Use the single configurator to get a link for a sheet with enabled interaction.

Now we have some doubts about the possibility of sharing the result with clients:

     1. Is it possible to have the Qlik Sense Desktop running on some machine and give access to customers?

     2. Is it possible for the customers to login on our website and then have a link to redirect to some Qlik page?

(The single configurator link refers to localhost.....)

We are definitely using Qlik professional services but we cannot yet figure out which is the best solution for us.

Regards,

Tiago

So do you think it could be done with us sharing the app on the cloud and then the customer accessing it? In that case, the client would have to login with his own Qlik account to use it, right?

Thanks,

Tiago

Hello Sangram,

When you say that the viewer needs to be given a token, does it mean a Qlik account token, a token to access our machine or a token to login in our website?

Do you know how that works out in terms of cost per user?

Thanks,

Tiago

Hello Andy Weir,

The cloud option implies login to a Qlik account or is it possible, using the single configurator, to have our customers login in our website and be redirected to the Qlik app?

Thanks,

Tiago

Yes. have a look at cloud plus. Its an excellent price and unlimited sharing. But the business would need their own free cloud account to view your shared App. There are restriction with what they can do ie no printing, downloading or setting up their own Apps so in certain circumstances this may be ok. One issue is any shared person can see all of your shared Apps without restriction.

But its a good way to get people  / companies to use Sense.

Hi Tiago,

Its the token to view the visualization or a dashboard or a mashup. Basically its the access to allow the user to view the page.

Thanks,

Sangram.

Hello Tiago,

Probably i'm a bit late on this post. See if my comments make any help.

If you want the end user to directly login to your Qlik Server, then you would have to provide access token as mentioned by Sangram.

Or else using mashups you could even embed the app to your existing website(your customer uses) and redirect it to your Qlik server from there.

Sai.

Hello SaiKumar33,

I think I prefer the 2nd option so that the customers can access through our website. I assume that it involves using the single configurator; if so, who can we solve the issue of the URL referring to the localhost?

Thanks,

Tiago

So our choice is to use Qlik Mash-up API in order to provide access to interactive apps which will be embeded in our website.

From our tests, we've seen that when there are 2 customers accessing the app and applying filters, those filters show up in both screens. So, to provide 24/7 access to 2 clients what is the best option?

     a) 1 app for 2 customers with 1 token for each client? Or is it possible to have 2 different sessions with only one token and thus avoiding the filtering issue?

     b) Is it possible to have 2 equal apps for 2 different customers with 2 different tokens?

Thanks!
