Writing a query using multiple files

I am creating a dashboard that will track expenses using a 13 month rolling calendar.  On the dashboard I want to group by   "Type of Charge" for the Company (ABC) and in descending order show the total for the current month and past month using a trend graph for the display.   I also want to display the Group Totals (123, 765) for "Type of Charge" for current month and past month with the ability to drill down to the item detail level. 

This information is contained in multiple spreadsheets as shown below.

I am new to Qlik and haven't done this before. 

Has anyone written a script like this?
