so as u said i need to write this in a notepad which is saved as  .BAT:

"C:\Program Files\QlikView\Qv.exe" /R "C:\qlikview\application\qualitydashboard.qvw"

IF so i am right where should i need to store this notepad file ......is it ok if i store the file in the same place where my qvw is ?

you need to create batch file "C:\Program Files\QlikView\Qv.exe"  C:\qlikview\application\qualitydashboard.qvw"

and set  task in windows scheduler .  i explained detailed in screen short.

For Second Qvw again create batch file and schedule .

Hi, You can store the .bat file created anywhere as per your convenience. You will have to schedule this bat file to run daily so that your qlikview file is reloaded and qvd's are updated on daily basis.

To schedule the .bat file :

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools ->Task Scheduler-. Task Scheduler Library-> Create Task -> Provide 'Name' of this task on general tab -> Add a new daily  trigger on 'Triggers' tab -> Under 'Actions' tab : Action= Start a program , Browse your bat file and click ok.

This should schedule your bat file to run daily. You can change the frequency as per your convenience.

Task scheduler will work on a local machine. You don't need to have qmc or server details for that
