How can i start my tasks?

Hi all,

I've created some task to reload my apps in Qlik Sense, but I can't start tasks manually.

First, I select Tasks on the QMC start page. Then I select the task I want to start and click start. The message "1 item was successfully instructed to start" is displayed at the bottom of the page, but never started.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever solve this issue? I ran into the same problem on a Qlik Sense 2.2.3 installation

Hi Mercedes,

Check if the task has been disabled. If its disabled you will not be able ot run the task even by clicking on the start button.

Thanks,

Sangram.

No they are all enabled, even if I create new tasks they will not reload.

I do get an message "Number of  items that were successfully instructed to start 1" indicating that everything is OK when starting them manually.

Hi Vegar,

Check the log files if something is being written back, as this will help trouble shoot the issue.

Thanks,

Sangram.

I'll created a support errand with the Qlik Support. Hopefully we'll find a sollution and avoid rearing down and rebuilding the installation.

probably you have already checked go to Services and check if Scheduler "QlikSenseSchedulerService" is running

or check from QMC by going

QMC--> Start-->Scheduler

In my case it seemed like it was the Scheduler service that was up and running but there was issues with the task slave that forwarded the job to the engine.

A controlled start of the services manually solved the problem. Make sure you let the database start up completely before you start the other services.

Hi Vegar,

Did you try restarting the repository database services?

Thanks,

Sangram.
