Excel Report

Hi Team,

I have one requirement in Npringint design, where in need to create excel report using an template. Template will have 2 sheets, in one sheet we need to fill the data from Qlikview using Nprinting reports & other sheet has some summary details which will be calculated using first sheet data.

How can we do this ? It is possible with Nprinting

  1. Drag and drop individual fields from the chart(s) you want to use onto sheet 1
  2. Build formulas on sheet 2. The formulas need to include the cell with the "field tag" and the cell below the "field tag"

See attached

NB: In my example, I put everything on the same sheet, but you can put the formula on a different sheet from the data.

In my case formula's & charts is populated in second sheet using data from first sheet. Using N Printing i need to fill data in respective columns of sheet one.

Can this be possible ?

Yes, this is possible. Like Aran has said, you can add a table to the first sheet (<sumsales> tag in the example above, but could also be a whole table) and create graphs or formula in the second sheet that references the table in the first sheet (referenced like the example above).

(I'm not sure how much more detail Aran could have provided.)

Thanks for your reply. I have tried that solution & it works. But my requirement is something differnet, wherein second sheet is already having charts & formulas which i will be using as template to generate report. I just need to put data in sheet one.

If you already have the sheet set up the way you want it in an excel workbook, you can open the workbook at the same time as the report editor and select 'copy or move' sheet and you can copy the sheet into the report editor excel file and save it.

Does that answer your question?

thanks
