Unable to Connect to MS Access in Qlik Sense 2.2.3 using OLEDB

Hello,

I am unable to connect to MS Access database through OLEDB connection using Qlik Sense Desktop version 2.2.3.

It was working fine before updating Qlik Sense.

I used "Microsoft Office 15.0 Access Database Engine OLEDB Provider (32-bit)" and "Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLEDB Provider (32-bit)", connection failed.

Any idea if it is a bug in the new version of Qlik Sense Desktop? Is there a way to resolve it?

Thank you,

Please raise the issue with your qlik partners they provide you the assistant for this or need to know how you update the Qiksense

1. By providing the qliksense new patch file.

2. By providing new installation.

Anand

Did you already try to ignore the warming and just create the connection string? It is not because Sense is giving a warning that it is not working

Mirna, try closing MS Access before reloading the App.

Hi Daniel,

I can't create the connection in the first place to be able to reload the data.

Have you tried connecting to MS Access db in Qlik Sense Desktop 2.2.3?

Hi Mirna,

I've tried ole db 15 32 bits also but no go. Can't make the connection, no access to datasource....

The only way I could connect is create an ODBC user dsn 32 bits en use this on qlik sense desktop. Check the 32 bits option.

Seems like bug

Hope this helps you.

This video does not tell you how to choose the appropriate provider out of 20-30 options.

This seems to be a bug in QlikSense, It still exists in QlikSense 2.2.4.

The only workaround to connect Ms Access database is by creating an ODBC (32-Bit) connection. Hope it will work for you.
