Qlik Sense server getting unresponsive over the time

Hi,

We are using qlik sense 2.1 , it works fine for few weeks but suddenly it stops responding. we checked all services and they were in running state but when we try to access hub or qmc , we get no response. We tried restarting proxy service but nothing works unless we completely restart qlik sense services.

After a complete reboot things goes back to normal and remains fine for next few weeks. We checked logs and window events, couldn't find anything in log but can see few errors in events related to Postgresql and Engine.

One of them is:

ERROR:  column c.CreatedOn does not exist at character 10

STATEMENT:  SELECT

  c."CreatedOn"

  FROM "__MigrationHistory" AS c

  LIMIT 1

I have attached few other events that we can also see. I am nor sure what is the actual problem and how should we start debugging this.

Thanks

Vishal

Did you find a solution? having the same issue.

There could be few reasons for that behaviour:

1. Check if your C: drive on the server has enough HD space available

     a. Qlik is storing EVERYTHING to log files, so you can run out of space pretty easily

     b. You can re-configure your system to store logs anywhere else, but they are going to C: drive by default.

2. Check if you are running some other processes (backup, reloads) while you are trying to access the system.

     a. If your setup is done as single-node configuration, it might be a problem

Check Performance Monitor app (should be installed by default).  It usually gives full list of issues / problems reported on your system.

Vladimir

I think is better to create a case in Qliktech due nothing above I think would be the problem thank you for your response Vlad

Please post the investigation results here... Would be interesting to know what happened to your server..

BTW, did you notice any errors reported in Performance Monitor app?

This Qlik app is pretty good in tracking system issues...

I did not find something related exactly to this. I'll keep this updated about the case.

Thanks Vlad and Emmanuelle for your reply, We have enough space and memory as we have just started running qlik , we don't have much data.

I did not find anything in logs but found few window events (attached).  My primary suspect is postgres.

We have raised this with our partner and waiting for their reply.
