This release delivers a strong set of enhancements across platform administration, security, and user experience - helping organizations run Qlik Sense at scale with greater efficiency, transparency, and flexibility.

Platform & Administration Enhancements
We are introducing several important capabilities to improve manageability and operational insight:

Enhanced QMC usability with support for copying and exporting table data directly to CSV, simplifying analysis and sharing of administrative information.
Task execution history adds deeper visibility into reloads and automation processes, enabling better monitoring, troubleshooting, and auditing.
Improved visibility into deprecated extensions, helping customers quickly identify where outdated extensions are still in use across QSEoW environments.
TLS 1.3 support enhances platform security with faster and more secure communication protocols.
Include script support in generated apps, increasing flexibility for automation and app generation scenarios.

We are currently validating database compatibility to ensure a smooth and reliable upgrade experience:

PostgreSQL 17 compatibility testing (Priority 1)
PostgreSQL 18 compatibility testing (Priority 2)

Our goal is to have both versions fully supported by the time of the May 2026 general availability release.

QCB-33865	Golang Libraries: Security Improvements	This release updates the Golang libraries to address known security vulnerabilities. The changes include patching the affected components and implementing additional security checks to prevent these issues from occurring in the future.
QCB-33850	Removed window function RecNo iterators	The window function was previously using iterators to derive the record number within groups, but this would fail when the same window function was evaluated more than once per load. The iterators have been replaced with a more robust solution.

QCB-33782	Enable CPU Overload Tracker on Windows	Enabled CPU overload tracker related to Saturated property in /engine/healthcheck REST endpoint. Engine will now set Saturated to true if the Engine service is going over the CPU threshold. More about the Saturated flag see: Qlik Help site
QCB-33776	Consistent Selection Order for Always One Value	The selection order for "Always One Selected Value" selections is now loaded correctly when opening an app. Previously, the order would update as soon as a new selection was made, potentially shuffling the order in which the selections were displayed to the user. This has been corrected, so the selection order will now be maintained based on the order of the fields, providing a more consistent experience.
QCB-33746	Qlik Management Console: duplicate ID column removed from selector	The Qlik Management Console (QMC) columns selector previously displayed duplicate ID columns. This issue has been resolved, and the columns selector now only shows unique ID columns.
QCB-33732	Extensions: corrected version mismatch	Fixed an issue where the version number in the qext file did not match the actual extension version. The version information has been aligned to prevent incorrect update notifications
QCB-33731	Improved Details for Master Item Filters	We’ve improved the details shown when clicking the information icon for filter panes that are also master items. Previously, the details were not displaying correctly. Now, all relevant details are properly shown in the details dialog.
QCB-33716	Listbox background image issue fixed	We fixed an issue where users would encounter a login prompt when using a background image in a Listbox, if the site was configured to use a virtual proxy.
QCB-33669	Data Load Editor Performance Enhancement	Data Load Editor (DLE) has been improved, reducing initial load time. The change prevents data preview from displaying previously loaded data upon opening DLE. Instead, clicking the "Preview data" button displays loaded data. This change: 1. Decreases the time it takes for the Data Load Editor to become usable 2. Speeds up the rendering of the Data connections panel
QCB-33614	Updated version of body-parser	Updating body-parser to mitigate known vulnerabilities.
QCB-33612	Resolved issue with syntax highlighting for empty strings	We fixed a problem in the Qlik language parser that caused syntax highlighting to break when using empty double-quoted strings (""). This issue has now been resolved.
QCB-33610	Qlik Engine: Fixed unexpected behavior with complex dynamic properties	We resolved an issue where the getLayout function would cause engine crashes when evaluating complex structures of dynamic properties under a qHyperCubeDef.
QCB-33609	Visualizations: Fix on invalid visualization name	We've added a sanity check to prevent crashes when an invalid visualization name is encountered. This issue previously caused the master items section to fail to open.
QCB-33579	Data Load Editor: Consistent date display with Data Model Viewer and Sheets	Previously, the Data Load Editor would sometimes display dates differently than what was shown in the Data Model Viewer or Sheets. This mismatch occurred in scenarios where dates were used as primary keys. Specific properties have now been added to the Data Load Editor to ensure consistent date display and sorting, so the row IDs are handled correctly across the different components.
QCB-33538	Engine: Reload memory limit respected	The Join clause during Reload now respects the configured memory limit, preventing out-of-memory issues.
QCB-33534	Window Function: Improved Handling of If-Statements	We've resolved an issue where if-statements with a window function nested in the condition expression were being evaluated before the window function calculations were completed, resulting in incorrect results.
QCB-33526	Fixed issue with exporting data	The download option is now available in the context menu when right-clicking on a chart, as long as the exportData capability is enabled.
QCB-33516	Fixed Security Vulnerability in qs Package	The qs package in Qlik Sense has been updated to address a security vulnerability. This update resolves the issue and improves the overall security of the Qlik Sense platform.
QCB-33483	Bar Chart: Increased tooltip line capacity	The bar chart tooltip now displays more lines of information.
QCB-33453	Qlik Sense: issue with update axis values when zooming	When zooming in/out of a scatter plot and then returning to the home state, the axis' ticks values are now properly updated.
QCB-33432	ws: Mitigate Known Vulnerabilities	This update addresses several security vulnerabilities discovered in the ws component. The changes made in this release help protect against potential exploits by improving the handling of certain input data. QCB-33288	Enhanced 500 internal error message	We've simplified the content on the 500 internal error page by removing the URL. This change improves clarity and adheres to security best practices by not exposing potentially sensitive information.
QCB-33270	Custom theme resolution improved	Custom themes were not properly applied in certain environments due to differences in API endpoints. This issue has been resolved, ensuring that QlikEmbed UIs now correctly display custom themes across all supported platforms.
QCB-33261	On-Demand Reportin extension error	The “On-demand Reporting” extension in the Dashboard bundle stopped functioning due to seemingly unrelated updates. The extension failed to detect the platform it was running on, which meant it defaulted to a generic error. A fix is now in place so that the extension functions again as expected.
QCB-33193	Line Chart: Fixed legend color issue	Resolved an issue in line charts with two dimensions and custom coloring where legend colors were sometimes displayed incorrectly.
QCB-33182	Engine Performance Improved with SMB 3.0.2	A third-party library update enables the use of RequireSecureSigning in conjunction with SMB 3.0.2.
QCB-33173	Optimize white space	Update extreme values of measure axis to reduce white space.
QCB-33162	Insight Advisor: Date field recognition in Qlik Embed	Fixed an issue where Insight Advisor failed to recognize Date fields when using Qlik Embed: For published apps or users without update permissions, only library items are accessible when no business logic is applied. When business logic is applied, users can freely use fields regardless of app publication status or update permissions.
QCB-33159	Improved Pivot Table Handling of Null Values	Resolved an issue where pivot tables containing null dimension values exhibited unexpected behavior during collapse and expand operations.
QCB-33102	Qlik Engine: Enhanced Nested Dynamic Variable Handling	Resolved an issue related to nested dynamic variables within qHyperCubeDef. Previously, the getLayout function was inadvertently overwriting value expression data with the evaluated value when used in nested dynamic variables.
QCB-33043	Visualizations: Master item prioritization for ambiguous names	Enhanced the selection logic in hypercubes. When a measure refers to a name shared by both a master item and a field, the system now prioritizes the master item.
QCB-33034	Hypercube: Fixed measure evaluation without dimensions	Resolved an issue where simple field measures without aggregation were not properly evaluated in dimensionless hypercubes. The evaluation now correctly follows the Only() rule.
QCB-33031	Measures: Fixed evaluation of simple fields with NULL values	Resolved an issue where hypercubes containing only simple field dimensions and measures without aggregation incorrectly evaluated to NULL. Now, when a measure contains one value plus NULL, it correctly returns the actual value instead of NULL.
QCB-33029	Multi-Session: Fixed OneAndOnlyOne Property Setting Issue	Fixed an issue where users couldn't set the OneAndOnlyOne property to false in multi-session scenarios. Previously, SetNxProperties failed to update this property. The fix eliminates the need for a GetNxProperties call before setting the property.
QCB-33027	Logout option now available for users with apostrophes in username	Addressed an issue where the Logout option was missing for hub users with an apostrophe (') character in their username. This fix ensures that usernames containing allowed special characters will see the Logout option as expected.
QCB-32980	REST Connector test connection issue	Fixed an issue where Test Connection in the Qlik REST Connector ignored encrypted header values and succeeded using stored credentials; it now validates using the credentials provided during the test
QCB-32943	Qlik Sense: Unable to make selections in Pivot Table using a touch device	Fixed an issue in the Pivot table from the Visualization bundle which prevent making selections on some touch devices.
QCB-32927	Legacy Table Sorting Option for Individual Apps	We've introduced a new script variable to give you more control over table sorting behavior in specific apps. Here's what you need to know: Variable name: QlikInternalSortKeyFieldTables Purpose: Enables legacy table sorting for individual apps Usage: Set the variable to 0 before loading any tables Syntax: SET QlikInternalSortKeyFieldTables=0; Important: The app must be reloaded for the change to take effect
QCB-32926	Window Functions: Improved Handling of Calculated Fields	We've resolved an issue with Window Functions. Previously, fields calculated in a preceding load statement were not properly recognized by Window Functions, causing them to be incorrectly interpreted as null values.
QCB-32884	Charts: Improved evaluation of simple field measures	Fixed an issue where charts using only simple fields as measures didn't always display the most recent values after selections. The HyperCube evaluation logic now validates Field State, ensuring charts show the latest field values when selections are made on associated fields.
QCB-32813	Dimensions/Measures: Fixed access error for dynamic properties	Resolved a "State not found" error that occurred when accessing dimensions or measures containing dynamic properties using QIX internal type names (e.g., 'qSelectionObjectDef').
QCB-32730	Straight Table: Enhanced Expand/Collapse Functionality	In Fully Expanded mode, the expand and collapse buttons in Straight Tables are now visually disabled (grayed out) to indicate their inactive state.
QCB-32661	Pivot Table: Column width expression setting fixed	Fixed an issue in the Pivot Table where it was not possible to set the column width of a field as an expression.
QCB-32612	Simple Charts: Fixed Data Type Requirement Issue	We've resolved an issue with Simple Charts showing blank.
QCB-30908	Qlik Sense on Windows: Thumbnail not shown for on-demand app generation apps	Fixed an issue where the thumbnail of an ODAG (On-Demand App Generation) app was not displayed in Qlik Sense on Windows. Instead, the default Qlik Sense image was shown.
FEC-358	QlikEmbed: issue resolving relative URLs	When a QlikEmbed website was hosted from the internal route /extensions in Qlik Sense, the URL to fetch import-map.json that QlikEmbed relies on, was resolved with a wrong URL due to relative URLs mapping to the wrong folder. This has now been fixed so that URLs are always correctly resolved based on the origin of the host.
EN-6971	Engine setting for controlling receive timeout for qrs/dataconnections/all REST call	Added a setting for controlling receive timeout against the Repository endpoint qrs/dataconnections/all as this endpoint sometimes can take longer than 30 seconds to respond. Contact Qlik Product Support for guidance on adjusting this setting.
EC-1580	Address connector upgrade issues	This patch release addresses ODBC connection failures and slowness of loading connections in the Data Load Editor caused by missing or incorrect connector DLLs on upgrade. The DLL upgrade issues were caused by mis-numbered versions of the affected libraries. The version numbers have been corrected and upgrade will function as expected.

Known issues and limitations

The following issues and limitations were identified at release time. The list is not comprehensive but lists all known major issues and limitations.

Clients

Third-party extensions are currently not supported on mobile devices, and the Qlik Trusted Extension Developer program does not accredit extensions for use on mobile devices. Generated items might not be visualized properly on a mobile device, depending on individual device specifications, mobile OS, and the size of the Qlik Sense app.
When you consume Qlik Sense apps using the Microsoft Edge browser on touch/hybrid devices, the long-press action does not work. This prevents you from accessing functions such as an object’s context menu, which requires a long press in touch mode. This is a Microsoft Edge issue.
Workaround: If you use a hybrid device, turn off touch mode, and then turn it back on again.
Export as Anonymous does not work for mashups deployed in a domain that is different from the domain where Qlik Sense is installed. Export only works for Anonymous if the mashup is deployed in the same domain as Qlik Sense.
When using the new Load Extension syntax in the load script, the Data Load Editor syntax completion does not work well after the keyword “Extension” when trying to write the call to an SSE function (AAI function). The script still executes correctly.
Legend does not show dimension values after row number 3000.
Limitations when exporting a story to PowerPoint:
- Titles are not rescaled as HTML. Font settings are not exported.
- Storytelling effects are not applied.
- Exported charts might show fixed scroll bars, depending on the export resolution.
It is not possible to open the context menu of an org chart on a touch device.
When you choose to view data in the context menu in a dynamic chart and make a new selection in the app, you need to refresh the browser for the chart to be displayed again.

Dynamic views

Dynamic views that you delete from one app are also deleted from every other app that was using the same view. There is no workaround for this issue. Avoid deleting views that might already be in use by other apps.
When you create a new dynamic view in the assets pane, the dropdown menu item does not automatically change to show the charts of the newly created dynamic view if there are any existing dynamic views. You must click on the dropdown menu to choose the newly created view.
The data for a dynamic view is automatically refreshed whenever you open a sheet that contains charts for the view. The same happens when you enter and then return from the global selections pane, and when you add a new chart for the view. Refrain from performing these actions on the base app to prevent triggering refreshes.
The view of a dynamic chart is cleared and shows a message indicating a view constraint violation whenever you change the selection state of the base app in a way that violates the view's constraints. Refrain from changing the selection state of the base app until it has finished making use of the data in any of the dynamic view charts.
The ‘Go to source’ option on a snapshot slide (available on right-click) for a dynamic chart does not select the actual dynamic chart when you change the view to the base app sheet.
Changes to chart settings for dynamic view charts using the Exploration menu are lost after refreshing the view.
Dynamic views do not support the Trellis extension.

Managing a Qlik Sense site

The Edit pane under Custom properties in the Qlik Management Console (QMC) can currently handle a limited number of custom properties. If you want to edit custom property values in the QMC, we recommend keeping the number of custom property values to a maximum of 500. If you want to apply values without modifying them, the QMC can handle up to 10,000 custom property values.
When you remove app objects from an application via the QMC interface, deleted objects are not removed from the application’s binary file stored on the file system.
It is not possible to use a security rule on the HubSection_* resource to hide the ‘Open hub’ link from the navigation menu when accessing an app as an anonymous user.
Workaround: Use reverse proxy to redirect the ‘Open hub’ link to a preferred landing site.
Windows service Qlik Engine cannot be started on a node where the Qlik Engine service is disabled through the QMC. Every time Windows restarts for that node, the Qlik Engine service fails to start up and throws an error in Windows event logs. You can prevent this by temporarily disabling the Qlik Engine service in Windows Service Manager.
Data connection passwords containing special characters (such as "=", "%", or ";") are not properly encoded when updated via the QMC. This causes authentication errors when trying to connect to specific data sources, which could cause reload tasks to fail.
Workaround: Use the data load editor to update the password. Note that once the password is updated, the name of the data connection is automatically appended by "(domain_userId)". You can adjust this later via the QMC.

Qlik Sense Desktop

Qlik Sense Desktop can play WebM and Ogg but not MP4 files. This is due to limitations in Chromium.

Connectors

REST connector: The ‘Next token’ pagination option does not work when the pagination token has the same value for each page.
For connectors in the ODBC Connector Package only the data types listed as supported in the online help have been verified to work correctly in the Preview and Script editor. However, the ODBC Connector Package does not prevent you from loading other data types. In some cases, you can load unsupported data types with the load script.
ODBC connector: Database connectors in the ODBC Connector Package do not work properly if the username on the Microsoft Windows system running Qlik Sense Desktop contains letters that are not English alphanumeric characters.
Workaround: Change the Windows system locale to match the character set that contains the characters used in the username. For example, if the system locale on the system running Qlik Sense Desktop is set to English and a username contains Swedish characters, you must change the system locale to Swedish for the ODBC connector to work properly.
The Qlik Salesforce connector does not support PK chunking on sharing objects. PK chunking is only supported on parent objects.
The Apache Phoenix connector does not support non-Latin characters in metadata. The connector might return corrupted data or unpredictable query results if you run a query with non-Latin characters in metadata, such as table names, column names, and aliases.

Cloud deployments and Multi-Cloud

When you download a pivot table in Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS, expanded rows are not included but stay collapsed.
