connection creation IN QV to ORACLE DB

Hi All,

ERROR : test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider.ORA-12154:TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified

I'm getting this error while connecting to a oracle database from Qlikview , why this occuring even if tns file is configured and tried to connect using EZCONNECT method.

if anyone have idea about this , please help

Sounds like it is perhaps not defined correctly. Are you able to connect to other environments from the TNS file?

There will be 2 TNS file isn't from our side and DB side . Which one you are mentioning?

Sorry, I don't understand your question.

The TNS file should be available on the Qlik server based on the Oracle client settings. Qlik only sees one TNS file, and it doesn't see anything on the database server directly.

yes. We can connect it from Qliksense without any issues but the same we are getting error on qlikview
