Hi,

We have been using Text Object in QlikView to indicate data in a Text Box, and use expression to change font color if the data exceed certain values. We have 80+ text objects of this kind in a Sheet as attached.

When we moved to Qlik Sense Enterprise, how can this be done ? Seems that the Text and Image chart is not designed for this purpose.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, the Text and Image object does not allow conditional coloring.

Instead, you can use the KPI object, and define color conditions.

Hope this helps

Hi Fosuzuki,

Thanks, but can I group a number of KPI charts into a background image ?

The objective is to see the sets of KPI values in 6 groups, preferably with 6 different image backgrounds.

Thanks for you help.

Unfortunately, Qlik Sense's design principles make it difficult for you. First, you cannot overlay objects. Second, you cannot arrange the objects with pixel-perfect positioning.

I'd say you've got two options:

1. Rethink your design, considering the native functionalities

2. Develop an extension with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. In this scenario, you have more freedom to do the layout the way you need

Thanks for your advice. Though it cannot be done with out of the box tool, you save me lots of time in checking out charts and map options.

Clever idea! That's tricky, but I'd say it's possible. You would be able to conditionally change the colors for the bubble fill, but not for the text inside it.

Hi Vijay,

Thanks for your idea. I have also consider that and add the image as the background theme, but then I have to make the whole Sheet just for that 6 sets of indicators. But good to try and see if the location of the indicators would change according to the web page size.

I needed to do this for another purpose but figured out that you can use, say QGIS, to Georeference a raster image and use that to plot points, export as a KML to ingest in QS and then add whatever's needed to it's popup.
