topic Has anyone made a dynamic QVD Comparator ? in Qlik Automate

We need to compare 2 qvds and share the result of both matching and non matching records.

There will be a parent qvd from prod and one from parallel prod. Parallel qvd will be compared with parent one and tool should tell which entry has different value. Primary key will be the combination of EmployeeId and EmployeeDept.

QVD used for comparison will have exact fields.
But there may different set of qvds with diff fields but again they will be same for comparison.

So fields should be picked dynamically.

Has any one made such comparitor insted of doing it manualy

Hi there !

We have actually 2 possible QQtools that might be handy for your use case...

1. QQvalidator allows you to compare 2 heterogeneous data sets (tables), including on the fly alignment
(Some more details also in the ending mind map below)

2. QQtracker allows you to track all the historical values of a data set intime.
https://qqinfo.ro/en/qqconfig-tracker-en/ ( just ignore the Config anywhere you find it)

This is a simplified version, closer perhaps to your stated need, that records all the values of a table (again... XLSX/QVD/CSV/ etc) in separate QVD and consolidates the result for further inspection.

This assumes the columns are exactly the same, every time, as defined in the config.

Here you can find also more QQtools and QQsolutions following the respective links.

Sempre fi,
Cotiso

More about QQvalidator:
