Automation for Publishing Apps

Hi,

I would like to create an Automation that Publish all the Apps from all the shared spaces, into specific managed Spaces.

So I will have a QA_SALES shared space and a PRD_SALES managed space. Or QA_LOGISTICS and a PRD_LOGISTICS.

When I manually Publish an app into a Managed Space, I am able to rename the app, so the one in the managed space will be named different than the app in the shared space.

Ex: QA_ORDERS (Shared Space) and I want to publish it into a managed space with the name PRD_ORDERS, and I have the option to rename the app in the wizard befored is published.

But I noticed that in the " Publish App to Managed Space" there isn't an option to rename the app before is published.

So my question is if there is another way to do it, because there is not a rename app block either.

I think you have to use the Call URL block and the Rest API Apps - Publish endpoint if you want to rename the app when publishing. The link above has a good example code.

Thanks for the feedback, we should be able to add a new input field to the Publish App To Managed Space block.

I'll let you know when it's done. Until then, you can indeed use the Call URL block or the Raw API Request block.

Thanks! I will try to do it with the call URL block. Anyway would be very helpfull and time saver if the "Publish an APP into a managed space block" has that input field.
