Hi,

The closest I came was making a scheduled Qlik app that ran some reloads on-prem then waited for the QVDs to upload in DataTransfer and then ran some reloads in SaaS. I did add some configurable elements to this but we've moved on from that approach. These days we generally just use Qlik Data Gateway as DataTransfer is pretty much deprecated. It's nearly 2 years since it's last release and Qlik normally stops support for versions 2 years after they were released...

I'd focus on finding a way to do it with Qlik Data Gateway if you can!

@AlexOmetis This post was marked as delivered: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Suggest-an-Idea/Qlik-DataTransfer-Task-chaining/idi-p/1781628

Were you able to build a task chain that includes Qlik data transfer QVD updates using Application Automation?

How do you do this? The task chain template starts with an app reload not a QVD update.

Does anyone else know how to build a task chain that kicks off with a QVD update? is there a way to check the last update date to start the task reload chain?

FYI for anyone that comes across this, one of our developers was able to solve this by changing the start block to a webhook and using app reload finished
