It is indeed possible to load data from a local database in to Qlik Cloud. Through the use of our different database connectors you can pick and choose a suitable connection to your local database. Here is documentation regarding the different connectors and how to use them. Hope this helps!

I have installed SQL Server on my desktop and trying to connect to local database from the trial version of Qlik cloud

Hello @AparnaRS,

To connect to a local database if not exposed to internet, and if is on your local desktop, I would assume is not, then you would need to use the Qlik Data Gateway Direct Access.
