Access Rights for data connexion with Qlik Cloud

Hello all,

Is it possible with Qlik Cloud to control the access to data connexions in a shared space ?

Users can create applications and use only the data connexions available in the space only

i don't find a user role or a space role that can provide this specific access profile.

Hello Rania,

Yes, it is possible to control access to data connections in a shared space in Qlik Cloud. The access control is based on the roles of the users:

Tenant admins : can access data connections in all spaces.
Analytics admins : can only access shared and managed spaces
Data admins : can only access data spaces

The user who creates a data connection automatically becomes the owner of that connection and is, by default, the only user who can access the data connection. The data connection can be shared with others through security rules defined in the QMC. When you move a data connection, both you (the admin) and the data connection owner must both have, at minimum, edit permissions on the space to which you are moving the data connection. Data connections can be moved from a shared to a managed space and from a managed to a shared space.

So, users can create applications and use only the data connections available in the space, but the access to these data connections is controlled by their roles and the permissions set by the admins.

Actually i want to control the creation of data connexion

Profile: user can create application only in a shared space and consume data( Excel file or a data connexion) in the shared space without having access to add data themselves

AFAIK, at this moment it is not possible. might be in couple of release qlik is planning to add custom role. might be it can help you.
