How to fix "metadata generation failed"

Hi,

This table has crucial information that we require, however I am unable to load the metadata for it as I receive this message.

I have tried doing a Quick data scan and a Full data scan. Both resulted in the same error. Any ideas on how to fix this and get the table loaded? It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: I am also able to load other table's metadata with no issues. Only some tables don't allow me to do so.

Hi @MoeE ,

I would try using a different account. This seems to be related to the permission the account has.

Are you able to elevate the permissions?

Thanks for the response. However, I already have all the permissions. I am also able to load other table's metadata. Only some tables don't allow me to do so.

Are you able to browse and run queries against those tables using the same account? For example, using SQL Developer? There are table-level permissions to take in consideration. Every single time I had issues like this, it was due to permissions.

I may not be. Are you able to provide details regarding the sucessful tables in contrast to this one?

Table size, number of columns, number of rows, data type, LOB columns present?
