Hmmm...well my first guess would have been that you had >1 QVPR so it kept getting corrupted. But that's not the case if you have all services running on 1 box. I'm not sure why the setting keeps getting reset--it may be a genuine bug in QMS, or it may be your antivirus or file protection or something.

I've run into "disappearing" setting myself. To fix this, at least temporarily until you can find out what's going on, going back to QMC >> System >> QlikView Servers >> Document and make sure "Allow Session Collaboration" is checked. Then, immediately browse to the folder C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer, right-click the file "Settings.ini" and select Properties. Set the "Read Only" checkbox and press OK. This will prevent any service from overwriting the QVS settings, so the collaboration setting should stick.

Regards,

Vlad

Hi Gavin

To be honest I can't remember - We were having a few teething problems at

the time. I've just checked now and the session collaboration box is still

ticked. I got distracted with another issue then when I went back to it ,

it had just corrected itself !

Sorry I can't be anymore helpful

Matthew Loveridge

Business Intelligence & Data Administrator

Interface

Shelf Mills

Halifax

West Yorkshire HX3 7PA

United Kingdom

Tel: 01274 698355 Mobile: 07736658355

From:

gavinchia <qcwebmaster@qlik.com>

To:

Matthew Loveridge <matthew.loveridge@interface.com>

Date:

19/07/2013 05:03

Subject:

- Re: Session Collaboration Availability on

Server

QlikCommunity

Re: Session Collaboration Availability on Server

created by gavinchia in Community Information - View the full discussion

Hi Matthew,

Any luck on this? I have the same issue here. The "Session

Collaboration" checkbox gets unchecked by itself. This happens about 2

hours after I had checked it.

We finally found the solution. As we are using Publisher, the Session Collaboration checkbox needs to be checked at the Source Documents so the setting will carry over to the User Document after reload and published.

Regards,
Gavin
