High Five - June 2025, Sean Bruton

Some members make a lasting impact through their knowledge, generosity, and passion for data—and Sean Bruton is a standout among them. Since joining the Qlik Community in 2017, Sean has become a recognizable force, blending deep product knowledge with a strong commitment to helping others. With over 6,000 likes, 35 badges, and experience speaking at more than 30 international events, we’re thrilled to recognize Sean Bruton as our June Featured Member!

Sean currently works at Differentia Consulting, a global award-winning Qlik Elite Partner, where he advises clients on data strategy and delivery. With seven Qlik certifications under his belt and a long history as a Qlik Luminary, Alumni, and now Affiliate, he has helped both commercial and nonprofit organizations turn their data into strategic insight. He’s also a Qlik Meetup Captain, regularly engaging with the Community to share knowledge and support others in maximizing the value of their Qlik solutions.

His passion for analytics began during his time in the South African Air Force, where he served for eight years and worked at the Test Flight Development Centre. That’s where he first encountered data analytics—and he’s been hooked ever since. Outside of work, Sean is a licensed pilot and a devoted family man who enjoys traveling with his wife and kids, from biking adventures to fun days at theme parks like Peppa Pig World with his four-year-old daughter. @seanbruton has Qlik and data running through his veins. When I first met Sean he was a brilliant SQL engineer and fascinated by the idea of governed data, and importantly, sold on the idea of Associative Query Logic. Once hooked on Qlik's capabilities he has never looked back. In particular our Qlik Governed Data Access Framework, which Sean has deployed to every client has helped manage data-pipelines in Qlik Analytics. Today this is still an imperative. Sean just want to help his clients adopt best practice and efficient use of data. It is great to see him recognised by the community. We are lucky to have experts that shine like Sean.
