Pasting image in community thread

Hi, In previous community platform, i was able to copy and paste images into the posts. But in the new platform, i'm not able to. Is this issue only faced by me or anyone else. Also after typing an expression and posting, getting HTML error.

Hi @jobsonkjoseph

For images you should use the Photos button (in red below) when posting a question or a reply.

Are you getting the HTML error after posting the expression in the main body of the text, or in the "code" section (highlighted in blue above)?

Ok. I think i'm only one affected here. Because i'm not getting any of those buttons when i post or reply. Attaching the screenshot for reference.

Hmmm, that looks super strange.

I should probably point out that I am feeling the platform having become a bit sluggish in the last 30 minutes, so it could be because of something happening on the backend of the platform currently.

But otherwise I'd recommend you log out and then in again to see if that solves anything.

I'll keep this under supervision.

Hi Mattias, I did logout and logged back in couple of times, still no luck. Also, comparing to Jive platform, this is a bit sluggish.

Hi, how about ctrl+v an image into a post? This was also possible in Jive and super useful when taking screenshots. Now I have to save every single image and upload it.

Juraj, yes! this drove me bananas yesterday as I was authoring documents and needed to move quickly. I was a little annoyed to have to upload each time (sigh.....) I checked this out on the lithosphere and while it's not an option now it seems to be in the works (tho no date was given)

Are you still having an issue with the Rich Text editor not showing up when creating a new posts?
I switched to view as your account and it was showing correctly, so let me know if it's not resolved.

Hi, Just checked with IE, all the button items are showing there, i think there is some issue with the website when i open it in firefox only. Attaching screenshot taken with website open in IE.

Which version if Firefox are you using? I just tested it in Firefox on my computer and I can see the icons just fine.

I just wante to make sure I add in the version when submitting the case to our vendor.

Hi @jobsonkjoseph. You can also check if Firefox does not block som (3rd party) content, this was an issue for me with Jive. This can be also blocked by Firefox extensions (AdBlok, uBlock, etc) or your company proxy. Try opening DevTools in Firefox to see if there are any errors on the "Network" tab.

Hi Juraj,

You were correct, it was the "Content Blocker" causing the issue.

But it is only a temporary fix, i can't disable that feature always. There has to be another work around right.

I think you can set up an exception for particular website when you click on the wheel icon by "Content Blocking". This is what I've done for previous community platfor. Now I'm ok without exceptions, but I'm on version 63.0.1 so a bit behind.
