It is based only on likes - not on all the activity. Who likes changes in game rules during the game?

I much prefer the old points based system where we received varying points for helpful or correct answers. This made it a lot more relevant than a quick click on a like button which may now make it pretty meaningless if it's used by people to like frivolous comments about cats or YouTube links etc. I'm not suggesting that will happen, but merely suggesting that it was very unlikely to be abused with the old system.

I fully agree.
I also guess that the ambitions in finding a solution and helping others will decrease if you are not even getting points for the correct answers! In my opinion the old system was much better and im not sure if I will invest as much time for this in the future!

I miss the time when I was one of global top 50...the game was funny. I'll not give up to help others but I'm felling like all the time that I spent on the formerly community was not recognized.

I'm still trying to get used to this new site, but I'm increasingly feeling as though this new site was designed for social media consuming chimpanzees rather than a technical community.

It is a prime example of something new and shiny not being better than the thing it replaced.
