We are excited to share with you a few key changes that are coming for Ideation which will hopefully improve our user experience, our efficiency with reviewing, and the scalability of our process.

Will there be a reconciliation of the company names? E.g., if we both work for ABC company but I enter an Ideation under ABC and you enter it under A.B.C. company - will this be reconciled to show only one organization? I ask, because when more than one person enters an Ideation, how can we easily search and identify the ideas submitted per organization? Orgs would like to track their ideas easily and since any amount of people can submit ideas, it would be valuable to avoid searching every org name permutation. Perhaps tie the submitter to a Qlik ID, with their company domain's email used as a tool for this.

I agree, it has been an ask from many to track ideas by organization. Today, in the Qlik Internal Ideation app, there is a sheet where you can search company name and pull up all the ideas by users connected to those companies. This comes from our iCRM data -> so the company name reconciliation is all managed by IT and SFDC admins.

With the new system we plan to integrate this data as well, just deciding how best to do so. But before then, I am working on getting company/account name into the public-facing ideation app , which should be a solid foundation.

Hi @Meghann_MacDonald , when opening an url from the new ideaton system, it doesn't show the qlik login page, but other login page. Tried to enter my qlik portal credentials but it's not working. Can you check this ?

I am logged in - and I am unable to submit a new idea today. The green button for submit an idea is grayed out and disabled. seems to be broken.

Hi @PabloLabbeImaps , thanks for trying it. Can you try to visit the Ideation page on Qlik Community where the app is, and click a link from the app or open the above url after that?

The new system authenticates users based on their community account, so everyone should have access and won’t need to “log in” with the page you see - but it starts authentication on that page, so you may have to visit it first. If it still doesn’t work let me know and I’ll reach out to you to fix it.

Hi @Ken_T , can you show me what you see? Are you in the new portal, or on Qlik Community?

There should no longer be a “Submit an idea” button anywhere on Qlik Community, due to this migration. You can submit an idea by visiting the “Browse and suggest ideas” page and then clicking “Suggest features” in the carousel or clicking the button in the app. Let me know if you have trouble and we can connect

Hi all, @Ken_T and @PabloLabbeImaps looks like the authentication is only working when you visit Suggest and Browse

and then click "Suggest features" - so it ISN'T working when you try to first open a link from the app, or use the button in the app. We are working on fixing this to make the experience smoother. Thank's for pointing it out!

Hey @markperrone , that's the correct page to start. When you are there, please try clicking "Suggest Features" on the top left.

This should open up the portal. We are working on authenticating everyone so you don't need to click suggest features, I will let everyone know on this post when that is completed.
