article Qlik Sense App: Alternate States in Qlik Sense in Member Articles

Alternate States has been a feature of QlikView for a number of years now, allowing the comparison of more than one selection set in a single app, or even on a single chart.

This functionality has just appeared on Qlik Sense Cloud, which is usually a good indication that it will be appearing in the general releases of Sense relatively soon.

I've written a blog on the subject exploring what Alternate States are and how to use them in Qlik Sense. That blog can be found here:

https://www.quickintelligence.co.uk/alternate-states-in-qlik-sense/

The attached document illustrates the blog post and will allow you to explore Alternate States for yourself.

Note that at the time of writing the app must be imported into Qlik Cloud in order to function correctly. Some alternate state functionality is there in September 2018, but the selections bar and the UI for setting states is not present.

I hope that you find the application useful. You will find other applications that I have uploaded under my profile on QlikCommunity or on our Downloads page..
