Export MetaData from Qlik Sense

Hello All - I am new to Qlik and I am trying to fetch metadata information from Qliksense . Can someone help me with any Qlik API that I can use to get the responses for Metadata or if there is some way to get the metadata .json file exports .

Hi @Sidhyanta,

You can export Metadata from Qlik Catalog using the Admin module. Please navigate to Admin -> Import/Export Metadata.

You can also Navigate to Support -> API Documentation there are multiple APIs within our export controller, metadata-definitions-controller, and import controller. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, these are the first places within Catalog to explore.

We run both. Both are good and both have problems. I’ve been disappointed on discussions regarding tools - lots of subjective input from one-sided perspectives. BI tools are like religions and people are very passionate for and against specific tools.
