Instead use the region and territory names for dimensions and the geometry in the location expression. The selection is based on the dimension.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/September2020/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Visualizations/Map/MapChart-Drilldown.htm

More drill down examples:

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-GeoAnalytics-Documents/Qlik-Sense-Examples-Qlik-GeoAnalytics/ta-p/1548751

Thanks,

Patric

Geo Analytics - Selecting custom shapes selects the geometry

Hi All,

We have built custom Region, Territory level shapes for QlikSense, and are using them in the area layer.

However, while configuring the Area layer we have used the Region Geometry, as Qlik will not understand Region Name.

Now, when we select the Region, it shows the Geometry in current selections (refer attachment)

Any thoughts on how this could be resolved?

Regards,

Diwakar
