topic Data type with client en key in Qlik Gold Client

Hello, I tried to import Data Type CA -Text into our training instance from our production.

The data was loaded, but is unusable because the client number is part of the key field in table STXL and STXH (field tdname).

Is there a conversion or transformation for this data type ?

The client number in production is 400 and in training is 200.

According to the best practice guide we should'nt modify this data on our own.

Please provide a solution.

Regards

Hi Michel,

We have a utility within Gold Client that converts the client/mandt values on text objects that utilize this value as part of the key field.

In your target system, go to ZGOLD --> Post Process. Use the Post Process button that is within the Data Echo menu (underneath Import Control). Open the folder that says 'Conversion' and select the option in the list that says 'Utility to Update Client Value'. At the top of the screen, you will enter the old client number (400) and the new client field should default to the target client you are logged in to (200). You will also need to populate the fields: Text Object and Text ID. Language can be changed (if required). In the process options section, you will see the option that is selected 'Expected Record Count'. When you run this (by selecting the 'execute button', it will provide the number of records that will be converted. If you select 'Update Table Entries' this will do the actual update process of converting the production client number to the target client number. Below this is the 'Max Records to Process'. This defaults to 9,999. This can be changed if there are more text objects to convert. After the changes have been made, you can select the 'Execute' button to modify these records. Once this is run, the text data will be useable in the system.

Thanks,

Lindsey
