Qlik Sense - Default value selection from Filter pane without Set analysis

Hi Guys,

Is there a possibility to set default value in filter pane or any other method?

We got a date selection to be set for "Current Year" by default.

Because of multiple complex calculations, we could not implement set analysis. We learned that we can possibly set the default values through set analysis. However, in our scenario, we have to go with writing If Else statements. So setting the default value has become a challenge.

Please suggest any thoughts that you may have.

Additional Info.

We came across an extension(Climber Selection Bar) which serves the purpose like magic. However, because its not certified by Qlik, looking for alternative ways.

Hi Guys,

FYI.

I was able to resolve the requirement with isnull() and GetCurrentSelections() function to default it to required Year.
