That’s a great question—tracking stream names using custom properties is a smart approach for maintaining clarity in larger Qlik Sense environments. Leveraging metadata through the QRS API or creating a custom monitoring app might give you the flexibility to group and audit streams by property values.

Interestingly, similar principles of data organization apply in other fields too. For example, in property asset management, keeping structured oversight of multiple assets is essential—just like managing Qlik streams.

For those interested in the full discussion, here’s the original thread:
https://community.qlik.com/t5/Monitoring-Administration/Tracking-Stream-names-based-on-Custom-Properties/td-p/2071059

Hi

How I can track which streams have a particular CUSTOM PROPERTIES item value or I want to search all the Stream names which contain 1/many custom properties item value same was as tags(list of occurance).

Note: Those CUSTOM PROPERTIES are Resource Type: Streams and has different Values.

Thanks

Hi,

Please refer https://community.qlik.com/t5/Security-Governance/Get-Stream-Custom-Property-values-from-REST-Connection/m-p/2506568#M2504

"value" column holds the values of the custom properties tagged at the stream level.
