Qlik Sense 3.1 version numbers

In QS Desktop 3.1, the *version() functions are returning v10 like numbers:

QlikviewVersion()=10.0.50501.0409.10

ProductVersion()=10.0.4+Build:0.local.Component.Version

In Prior versions, such as 2.2.4, they returned numbers that made sense to me:

QlikviewVersion()=2.2.50501.0409.10

ProductVersion()=2.2.4+Build:60.release/ms15

Further, the Help, About subtitle displays "qliksensedesktop:10.3.5". I have not tried 3.1 Server yet.

Does anyone disagree that this is a bug or have other comments? It has caused me a problem in conditional scripts where I'm using the version to determine whether I'm running in Sense or QlikView. "10" looks like a QV version.

Hi Rob,

I agree this is a bug.

According to 3.1 SR1 (3.1.1) release notes there was a bug in the installer showing wrong version number and fixed. Release notes doesn't mentioned the system functions though. I checked Desktop and and still same results, although about says "qliksensedesktop:10.3.6".

And just to make it more confusing, 3.1.2 returns numbers that look like V11!

ProductVersion() = 11.0.0+2016-11-21 18:38:34.HEAD.Component.Version

QlikViewVersion=11.0.50504.0409.10

Seems to be fixed in v3.1.4
