Add Schedule Reload role to Managed space permissions.

In Qlik Cloud there is no option to grant a member access to schedule reloads on managed spaces without giving them "Can Manage " Role which grants additional permissions including the ability to mange permissions on the space.

It would be good to have a dedicated choice for managing reloads & their schedules without granting the full permissions that are given by the "Can Manage" role.

Hi @dustin_frysinge thank you for your idea. We are clearly planning. to introduce more and more dine grain control to those areas you mention. Especially for everything around scheduling there is a lot planned for 2023. As soon as we do have more clarity on dates, you will hear about that. For now I'm changing it to not planned and we will update it when we know more details.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi @Thomas_Hopp ,

As we've rolled out more apps to our cloud tenant the need for this capability has become more evident.

One example of this is as follows:

When an app is developed by the app owner yet scheduled by a different person with the "can manage" role that second person is required to get admin access in the section access of the file in order for the reloads to take place.

Another example of how the current state impacts our ability to use the system:

As a different person has setup the reload schedule the app owner is not able to see reload failure messages and if the reload should fail the 4 times in the system they are unable to resume the schedule it takes away the ability for these app developers to self-service these minor issues with reloads that can occur from time to time.

Regarding the status change of this idea:

If I understand correctly the Status guidlines @ https://community.qlik.com/t5/Get-Started/Ideation-Guidelines-Status-Definitions/ta-p/1960237

Not Planned The idea is not being considered for the roadmap. There will be no further updates unless future product plans change.

This may give the impression to others that this is something that will not be worked on but if I'm understanding your comments correctly there will be work on the area of scheduling for 2023. Perhaps collecting feedback is more appropriate ?

Please correct me if I'm wrong here 🙂

Thank you!
