It enables development, deployment and troubleshooting of the Replication tasks. In addition to this, QEM also monitors the Replicate instances and tasks in realtime.</P><P>This makes QEM an important component of the replication infrastructure.</P><P>Having an external tool monitor QEM improves observability. However, we do not have an easy mechanism to monitor QEM externally.</P><P>Adding an open /status API will help us in monitoring the status.</P><P>The TestEndpoint capability needs authentication and authorization. Also, the monitoring may not be adequate depending on the API we choose to monitor with this capability.
