I agree.
Especially good to keep the right-justification of the numbers.
In addition, please support for different formatting depending on the result, such as in the following formula.

Pick(ID,Num(SUM(Sales),'#,##0'),NUM(SUM(Sales)/SUM(TOTAL Sales),'#,##0,00%'))
