Thanks for sharing these new Qlik Cloud migration tools. They seem really useful for streamlining the migration process. I recently had the opportunity to work on a similar migration project, and I found that having a clear assessment of the current deployment and a step-by-step guide was incredibly valuable in planning and executing the move. It made the whole process much smoother. By the way, speaking of valuable resources, I recently received some top-notch consultancy from an expert at Evelon, an Atlassian/Jira consultancy company. They taught me all I needed to know for my work, and it was a game-changer. Definitely worth looking into if you're seeking expert guidance.

Are they using Qlik Replicate? If so, that is a pretty modern tool and you can write to a bunch of different file formats such as parquet.

If they are just using old-school Qlik then it's not too bad to transition off. I moved a bunch of pipelines off of Qlikview about 5 years ago because the client wanted to use a different BI tool.

Hi

Will this tool work if the environment is a Sense version from 2018?

We've just started engaging with a client with an ooooold Sense environment and the want to move to Qlik Cloud.
We'd like to use this tool to assess their environment. Hopefully without having to go through the process of performing the phased upgrades but also the validation afterwards.

It is a rather small environment so doing a lot of work on the local setups is probably not worth it, but still IF the tool can do it then we might see things we've missed so far.

/lars

Hello Lars,

This is quite an old article. We now have a new set of tools for inventory that are available in the Partner Hub, look for the Qlik Cloud Migration Tools section.

We also have the Qlik Analytics Migration Tool, that you and your client can get from the Downloads page: Qlik Analytics Migration Tool overview | Migration Center Help.

Both of those should work for Qlik Sense 2018 versions.

Hope this helps,

VG
