Nprinting 17.2 Cache Status: "Generating"

Hi,

3 days ago I successfully created several data connections using Nprinting 17.2. I created connections to local files and to files that were published into the QV Server.

Today when I need to reload the meta data for these data connections. They all get stuck at "generating".

Restarting services does not help, the log file says:

"Reload metadata task 3b19040f-b086-4cfc-9345-2b5b66335e01 sent to queue"

Anyone with similar problems?

Hi Jens,

My source file is changing daily and for some unknown reason I was not able to reload the Metadata rom my source file for about one weeks time, then it suddenly it just started to work.

So, I don't have a solution, but I recommend you to try to reload the Metadata again.

I except stability improvements to the data connections future Nprinting service releases,

Hi Paul,

I investigated the log files and found an error regarding the license lease of the local QlikView Desktop.

After I renewed the license lease, the system did seem to get more responsive even though it was a Qlik Sense connection, that was having a hard time to refresh metadata.

Hi Paul,

I am facing a same problem when trying to load metadata the error i get is Request has been perged due to connection errors" and when i check in the logs i dont see any error, Someone please help me out

What is your size of .qvw file which you are connecting? it may cause issues if you have the application having huge size, and it will take time to open meanwhile it may get hang and this type of errors will come.

Check your connection strings, it may be the issue with user credentials or connection path.
