Hello Paul,

I might need clarification on your question.

It seems that N printing ignores the period that is used on the access point and only takes the period that is used on the qvw on the server. Is it possible to have the user update the period on the access point when it is a variable as above?

I think what you may want to do is create a Dynamic Filter with Formulas:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/April2019/Content/NPrinting/ReportsDevelopment/Static-dynamic-filters.htm

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/April2019/Content/NPrinting/ExcelReports/Formulas.htm

The important thing to remember is the following:

"You can use QlikView and Qlik Sense formulas to calculate values to be used in filters. Each formula must return a single value, and use QlikView or Qlik Sense syntax. For example, you can use a formula to calculate the value of the previous year and compare it with the Year field in a filter."

Please let me know if this helped with your question? If so please mark as "Solution."

Regards,

Hi Paul

short answer is - it is not. Variable change is not considered as a "selection" passed when generating OnDemand report which i believe you are referring to here.

See this topic for my suggestion on how workaround can work

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-NPrinting-Discussions/Date-variable-not-showing-any-value-when-used-in-Nprinting/m-p/1573737#M23705

should you have any questions let me know.

cheers

Lech
