Hello,

I have created a customized security role in NPrinting 17.

Am I right, that with 'Reports - Edit' the user is able to change the naming, the app, etc... of a report, but cannot edit/change the PPT or Excel report?

For editing/changing the PPT or Excel report the user need to have 'Edit template' - correct?

Furthermore, 'Edit template' decides whether a user is a 'NPrinting developer' or not, correct? In NPrinting Enterpreis SMB, I have only 2 NPrinting developers.

Thank you. Best regards, Patrick

Hello Patrick,

I just did a test for you.

I created a user and assigned them to a User and a Custom Role.

For the Reports-Edit permission you will not see the "Edit Template" button to launch Designer.

However, as soon as I added the Edit Template permission the button was then visible and I could edit the Report in Qlik NPrinting Designer.

This permission is needed to Develop Reports.

As far as the NPrinting SMB License Rules - please see the following article:

https://support.qlik.com/articles/000058910

If this has answered your question, please mark as a Solution.

Regards,

Eva
