Nprinting Error - Power Point

Hi everybody,

I have a error message when i want to save my Powerpoint File generated by Nprinting:

"An Error occured while elaborating the entity tags.

Please check if the entities are properly placed inside their level tags" 🤔

Hi,

You posted too few details to understand what is the cause of the issue.

Please post at least a screenshot of the whole template.

I have some charts in a Script Qlikview and i research this chart that i put in my slides.

When i show the models as belows

It's ok, i have my chart on different slides

But when i want to save and keep my working as below

Hi,

If it is a problem to share the complete template due to company secrets, please open a support ticket so it will not be public.

The error message refers to Levels. In the screenshots you posted the Levels node and the content of the slide are not visible. Did you inserted a field in Levels? If yes how did you used it in the template slides? Are the fields in the Levels still available in the original QlikView document?

Did the template worked and stopped to work after some actions?

The charts are still available in the original Qlikview

The template worked until the slides 15.

I've seen something on the net like a corrupted file, but after ...

Try to delete the slide no. 15 and check if the error appears again.

This is the main actions:

- Reload Script QlikView ..... ok

- Reload Metaata in Connexion Nprinting .....ok

- Edit Model PowerPoint, Delete Slide 15, Save .....ok

- Duplicate Slide 16 And Test GeneratingPowerPoint without CH-127 and CH-107, Save ..... ok

- Add CH-127 in new slide 15...... ok

- Edit and Test Generating PowerPointfile, Save ..... Error

Hi,

Are CH127 and CH107 still present in the connected QVW?

Did you checked the log files? Could you share them here? Refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/June2019/Content/NPrinting/AdministeringQVNprinting/Logging.htm

Can you post a complete screenshot of the slide 15 template?

Hi,

The Chart CH-107 and CH-127 are still present in the Connected QW.

I Checked the log files. Only Nprinting_WebEngine is updated. Ni erros in a log file :

Hi,

I suspect you are doing something wrong in the template but with the information you supplied (for example without the full screenshot of the slide with the issue) it is not possible to go ahead with the analysis.

I suggest you to open a support ticket. Include the template, the complete log files (not just a piece of one of them) and the steps to reproduce the issue.

Hi @Fanch

I noticed that you appear to be using a customized pptx template.

Also there appears to be some kind of headers/footers in your template.

Please note that NPrinting does not support the use of NP tags in the headers and footers of MS Office documents. See https://support.qlik.com/articles/000026081

There may also be some specific attributes in your custom template or your customer template itself may be corrupted.

I suggest the following:

1. recreate your report entirely without using your custom template and adding your chart objects two or three at a time. This will allow you to determine if any individual chart objects are problematic.

2. make sure you are not using headers and footers especially typing NP tags into the headers and footers as this is not supported.

Give this a try and let us know how it goes.

By the way...the solution may be as simple as removing any NP tags from headers and footers within your report template if applicable. Custom templates are supported.

The rest of the solution is a suggestion to troubleshoot where the issue may be present.
