Hi ,

Need help regarding an issue in Nprinting .

As per the business requirements , there are a large number of images that needs to be visible in the Nprinting report . All of these images are fetched in the report as per different filters and Ids present .

The image size varies from (1mb to 10 mb) , as the images are provided by business so cannot be changed .All these images are stored in a server which are then accessed into the qvw file , which is later on used in the Nprinting template (used between different levels) .

Running the Nprinting report in such scenario is taking a lot of time like more than 2 hours to generate the report in pdf format.

Is there any specific way to shorten the running time of the nsq file .

Please let me know in case the issue is not clear .

Regards,

Kali

Hi @Kali1

Here are a couple of suggestions:

1. convert your image files to PNG files. This generally allows you to keep the image quality but dramatically reduces the file size

2. Move the 'reduced' images to your NPrinting server and adjust the image location and (extension type as per point 1) in your QVW accordingly.

Perhaps this might improve the situation some what if the file sizes are reduced and if the files are available locally rather than over the network.

Note: Try this as test scenario/server before attempting to solve/trying this in a production environment.
