on-demand report extension authentication options

The documentation distinctly specifies that Windows NTLM is required for On-Demand extension to work.

However, not everyone uses Windows Domain Controller. Some have Azure AD, or other directory services like social auth, are there workarounds to this to get the on-demand extension working?

Hi @avastani

As of now there is no known workaround. You may want to check with support or raise idea on Idea section of community.

I can see how complex this can be due to the fact that we not only need to have fully working user authentication with Qlik Sense but also with NPrinting and then seamless authentication between both tools when used with OnDemand.

I believe current OnDemand solution with Qlik Sense is based on API which to best of my knowledge as of now only supports NTLM authentication.

Rumor has it - there may be changes coming, but I cannot confirm anything 🙂
